The Epson R300 does a nice job with every day printing, and can print some bloody impressive photos. The other thing I like about the R300 is that each colour is an individual cartridge, so when you run out of red, you don't need to toss the entire colour cartridge. Pricing on the carts is about $18USD for the black, and $12USD for each colour. At least, that's what the website says. Local pricing may vary.
