who did the Ukraninan exam? Maybe you can even find some people who did both Ukranian and French and compare notes. Seems to me, you need more information before you proceed. If you can, try and look at exams given by other professors (maybe even the predecessor to your current prof). That way you can see if your expectations of an appropriate test are what would generally be considered an appropriate test and base your decision on that... I can sympathize with the problem of having to take tests by new professors. Also with having to learn french :). -><- Cardinal Tars Tarkas, Kéeper de la Châo Secrét.
