Okay, first off this is producing a .chm file.

I'll see if I can find a representative section to post.

In the meantime, however, what I'm really wondering is *how* I can give feedback (to myself) to find out what is happening in the function that was displayed in the top post. If I was writing in C, I'd blurt the info to a file for debugging.

I don't know what to do in javascript, unfortunately (will have to go find out how, now :-)
