It's becuase we have stupid laws... and the CRTC (i think thats the one) decides what television were allowed to watch, puts rules on canadian content on the channels, and basically chooses what channels are acceptable to watch.
The reason why we had the pirate dish? Becuase my dad wanted to watch HBO, which is not avaible in Canada, and lots of its shows are not avaible in Canada or are avaible on several years delay.
The entire time we continued to pay for regular cable. Since we wanted it on more then one tv, and we still wanted the local channels. |
