The Twixters: Refusing to Grow Up by Illiad 2006-11-19 12:55:59
First bit of the article available at Time.com.

My wife is in that age group and she can't understand that kind of thinking. Nor can I -- I was raised to understand that you have to work to get anything in life, and all productive work, from simple, dirty labour to using your brains and intuition to run a company is honourable.

The (full) article touches on how many twixters don't understand why they should have to grow up and become responsible adults. Paraphrasing: "Life is a party, and while I can have that, I'll take it."

I'm hoping and praying that the cycle has come full circle and the following generation is made up of hard-working, no-BS-allowed people with strong ethics of responsibility. Perhaps when some of these twixters hit their 40s they'll get a cold, hard shock when they realize they have no prospects, no home, and no savings.
