I had a WAP even when I was using Dialup. It was a way for me to get at my network from upstairs in an old house. My WAP comes equipped with an external modem port and the ability to share that connection. I agree it isn't the norm, but it IS possible.

I don't think anyone would stay long on that WAP though as the speeds would be too slow, but while they were there, who's to say what they would be tempted to do?
