No experience with taxes in other countries, so I can't really tell you how high.
If you lose your job, you're entitled to 'day money', that is, payment for being unemployed. However, to be entitled to this, you must show that you're actually searching for a job. After a certain period, you must've been to a job interview too(I think. Not sure about that.)
If you get ill and need expensive treatment, your own insurance covers this. I'm not up-to-speed on it, but I believe the state chips in making the treatments cheaper in general.
Parents-to-be get a full year paid vacation, split between the two as they agree upon between themselves.
The split between poor and rich is rather high. I live in the richest part of the country(Norway), though, so I can't go much into detail. |
