ATTN: Developers by imrambi2005-01-27 10:24:48
For documentation, we have implemented by Merlin 2005-01-27 10:35:25
the following, in order to track both our Project Methodology and our Sarbanes-Oxley documentation:

\\server\sharename$\Project Documentation - this is the base folder

"SRF <num> - <descr>" - SRF = 'Service Request Form', the num is our project number, and descr is a brief description

Inside each project folder, we store all of our various project docs. The follow a naming convention of "SRF <num> - <doc type> - <descr>".

We have found that this allows us to pull up the relevant information for a particular project quickly.

For code revisioning, we use Source Safe for most things. In my other development environment we had to write a versioning system, but it is highly customized and specific to the environment so I shan't go into here.
