I already said that I was speaking of a biased representation, nothing else. It's a fact that certain portions of the population will never do military service, for example convinced pacifists. Thus the population in the military does not representatively portray the civilian population. That's all I'm saying.
Besides, I did enough military service thank you very much. I even had quite a struggle to get out of that stupid club. All in all the time spent in the military must have be the most wasted of my life, and I have a lot of trouble understanding how anyone can actually be proud of military service. Personally, I'm slightly ashamed that it took me so long to get out. But you have your opinion, I have mine, and I'm sure I won't convince you.
Still, keep in mind that not everyone who knocks the military is necessarily a lifelong civilian, ok? |
