And you're going to great pains to try to convince yourself that using someone else's wireless signal isn't stealing. It is.
I'll say it again: if it isn't yours, and you didn't get permission to use it, it's stealing. It's stealing if you splice into someone else's cable TV signal to get cable at your house without paying for it, it's stealing if you tweak your cordless phone to work with their wireless signal, and it's stealing if you use someone's wireless connection so you can get internet access without paying for it.
All of those are paid services that you're expected to subscribe to to have rights to use it. Using it without paying is stealing. It's stealing from the cable, phone, or internet company regardless, and it's stealing from your neighbor if you didn't ask for permission first. |
