but the error message clearly indicates that JCreator thinks this is a real standalone application. Perhaps there's some configuration option you have to toggle? I don't know JCreator (but looking at a few screenshots, it reminds me of the old Kawa IDE, which I used for a long time)... Try running the applet manually via the command "appletviewer", if that is available. Oh, and your variable input should really be initialised before, as was already suggested. :)
