Need help with homework... by Sweethart2005-01-27 05:32:26
On the development of television by voxwoman 2005-01-27 05:44:38
here are some keywords you may not think of offhand: "Philo Farnsworth" and "David Sarnoff" (basically the 2 American inventors of TV - and there was a patent war going on). I wouldn't know offhand what the "market factors" are for the development of TV. But getting Philco and Sarnoff's backgrounds may help you. (company names: Philco and RCA)

I would never know any of this stuff except that I worked for RCA in the early '80's, and you learn about the company founder. I found some pretty interesting articles about the development of TV - you should be able to cull something from a search on the names and companies.

Additionally, you really should be aware that the development of Television really invented a new media with a new method of bringing information into the home. So you might also want to look at Marshall McCluhan for some insights as to how this media changed the world.

Good luck!
