20 years as a Security Policeman (now Security Forces), Carpenter, Locksmith and Computer Operator/System Administrator. Worked for 10 months with a "Beltway Bandit" as a System Administrator (read 'computer operator') for four Wang VS6000 mini-computers at the Department of State in downtown DC. Left there and went back to Civil Service as a Computer Assistant for my old Civil Engineering outfit at Andrews AFB sitting one desk over from the one I retired from the year previous. One move and 2 promotions later, I'm sitting here at my current location with just over 9 years left before I retire again as a GS-12. I'm thinking it's going to go pretty quick as I pretty much like what I do.
