Well i am sorry, people rely on post offices, i know that, i live in a tiny village in the middle of nowhere myself. It's bad that they have to close. But one mile? one WHOLE mile, couldn't they find a better example to rant about?
On one hand royal mail has to be a competitive company in an open market, on the other hand people complain when the company cuts out parts of the business which are making drastic losses.
Unfortunately in this increasingly capitalist world, there's no room for public services for the sake of service; profit is everything.
