Nice try, Mac, but no cigar. You forget the old aphorism about
knowing the tree by its fruits. Christianity as it's commonly
understood has caused so much bloodshed over the centuries that
there's clearly something seriously f4ed up with it.
Sure, it all sounds like this wonderful loving kindness stuff if you turn a blind eye toward the facts, but why have so many heads been cut off in Christ's name? Don't blame the head-cut-off-ers; look to the philosophy they espouse.
Christianity -- and, yes, Islam -- is a rotten fruit out of the stone age. The sooner it's dumped on the garbage heap of history, the better.
There are a number of the anti-religion crowd, and we do have them here in the User Friendly community, that I believe follow the quote above in their beliefs.
