religion is one of the tools that creates situations like atrocities in the name of religion. Many of the atrocities are in the name of religion. Thus disliking religion here can be a valid reason here.
That said, Christianity alone is not to blame, but multiple religions that keep battling each other is the problem. Religions that put down other religions or world views are a problem. Christianity being one of major religions shares this blame. That said again, perhaps one should not specifically single out Christianity, but single out religions in general.
With the Canadian example this doesn't hold. If government of Canada was creating a situation where people are likely to commit more crimes, then yes, Canadian regime will hold partial blame. I'm not much into politics, but currently this doesn't seem to be the case. |
