OpenOffice Help needed by Dazed 2005-01-16 16:56:44
After spending, oh, about 8 hours working on formatting this document, it almost all works (which is, of course, a good thing). However, OpenOffice still must die for having things almost work right, but not quite.

Anyhow, the point of this post is that I am using a Master Document (very cool feature). In this document, which we will call My Thesis, I have a Table of Contents. Because it's a thesis, I also have two numbering styles, the first 10 or so pages are all numbered with little Roman numerals. The other 100 or so pages are numbered, starting from 1, with Arabic numerals. I got these numbers to show up correctly on the page (after much headaches) but I cannot get them to show up correctly on the table of contents.

This is my last-ditch effort to get the Table of Contents page to work correctly (essential if I want to submit my thesis electronically). If I can't get it to work, I'll just make a proper Table of Contents at the end of the process, insert it as if it were a regular document, and send this all to the printer (assuming no other headaches arise!).

So, does anyone know anything about Table of Contents's to help me out? Anyone? Bueller?

Hope everyone else is having a more enjoyable and more productive day than I. :)
