I'm paid electronically into my bank account. My rent and bills are all debited electronically. I pay for most things using either my debit card or my credit card, I pay off my credit card using a cheque. Roughly 1% of my monthly expenditure is in legal tender, the vast majority is in a virtual electronic form. The only thing that confers it value is the belief on my part and the recipient's part that the numbers we exchange are worth something. 'Money' is very much a concept nowadays.
