Anti-virus for Windows 95 OSR2, IE3? by LionsPhil 2005-01-16 10:38:06
I've dug up my old P200 and, seeing as it has network access, it probably ought to have some form of antivirus. The copy of Norton here has an expired definitions subscription, and I despise Norton anyway. AVG, which I use for everything else, requires IE5 or later, peversely, and I have no desire to risk destablizing the system by introducing concepts such as Active Desktop. If it comes to it, I'll just run it without one (it's sealed behind a router and won't be running random binaries anyway).

So...suggestions? Has to be free, because it's not worth spending money on a P200. ;)

(Incidentally, I'm posting from the latest Opera just fine on '90s tech. You just can't call it slow. ^^)
