Don't forget that the monarchy does still have power here, even though it's the prime minister who gets most of the political attention. Thanks to the large number of irrational people in Britain, this probably isn't likely to change any time soon. Heck, even when the populus has risen up in the past, they've just changed which "chosen by God" dictator they want to be under! |
