I'm hoping something positive happens between now and July. On my side for place that manages 3 complexes is the fact their sister organization provided services to my son since he was 6 or 7 until age 12. They know us well and made a big point of contacting me after the contracted ended to say it didn't matter the contract was gone. That they cared about us and if I or my son ever needed anything to call them and they'd help us with advocasy or putting a word in or whatever. I thought that was really sweet of them but at the time I couldn't think of any help I needed. I found out they are the sister organization to the housing society. So as you can guess I'm asking them if there is any way they can get their sister society to help us. They can vouch for in the very least that we don't smoke, we are very quiet and aren't any trouble and that my son is a good kid. For one other I'm hoping to rely on track record of services to the disabled. Kinsmen are like a lions club. So though I'm guessing all or near all of their housing probably has people without any issue in it. Appealing to them on my situation might get some help... even if they can't give a space in their building maybe they know somewhere else. The other private organization I have no connections too and in past I found them somewhat indifferent though it was another complex... one that is now under bchousing. I'm rather suprised this one building isn't under bchousing too ... odd they put only one cities in but not anothers. BC housing ... well it's odds are beyond depressing. Maybe though if they got pressured that might change but still it doesn't sound good. I'm trying to be hopeful though... But it's hard to be so when you hear icky stats and all you see is constant rents 1.5-2x or more what you pay that you know you'll never come up with money for.(unless you just don't eat)
