Debian gets a definite "meh" from me. Hate to say it, but apt-get needs some improvement. And so does the boot speed.
(And why am I not allowed to tell it what daemons to load during install? Why is hotplug used by default, instead of the installer letting me tell the system what modules to use? What happened to all the "difficult configuration"? And, though it's not Debian's fault... Where in the heck did Hotplug get the idea that I have PCI-express? :o )
P.S. I was using Debian Sarge as opposed to Sid... Sid is relatively stable yes (I'm sure it is compared to Arch!), but I've heard some nasty things about mismatched dependancies and stuff...
P.P.S. I think I'm going back to Slack. Hmm... Is it possible to do a network install with Slackware? |
