In the Goetia - a book on summoning demons that's supposedly traceable back to Solomon - you can see a whole bunch of symbols that work in a very similar way to the Elder symbols. Considering how long the Jews were stuck in Babylon, it's reasonable to surmise that the Sumerian's Great Old Ones had a lot of influence on Judism's demons.
