yes, reference always helps, Active@ Undelete -- was not recovering files properly for some reason. Executive Undelete -- I didn't have the full version with emergency recovery, so that didn't help. Finally, the one that worked was System Mechanic. It has an undelete module. Worked great ! And did it much faster. It located the files in ~3 min compared to "advanced scan" by Active, which took 2 hr.
