undelete by dennismv 2004-12-31 01:15:23
If you delete several several HUGE (up to 8Gb) .AVI files, and 2 different demo UnDelete products say that they couldn't find them, is it still possible to undelete those files ?

I deleted them as I thought I had them backed up.
The files were on a different partition than then one I normally use. However, before I realized that I didn't have .AVIs backed up, I created a new (empty) folder and a small text file in the folder that had those .AVI files in it. I now deleted the empty folder and the small text file. However, the undelete products find just one 8Gb file and it has 0 length. I can recover it as 0 length, but I want the full 8Gb. Is this hopeless now, or is there anything I can still try ?
