Just an FYI here. I've been struggling with CD burning problems with my old Mitsumi 4x drive for a week or two with some new TDK disk I purchased in the US. Never a problem before that.

With cdrecord I kept getting "OPC failed" errors and couldn't figure out why. Today I decided to drop the speed to 2x and immediately it all started to work. Very danged slow, but it's burning now at least.

KS
PS. Just purchased a cheapo LG GCE-8526B for Jen's computer, but haven't really pushed its limits yet.
