My system (FrankenIBM 300 PL - originally P2 400 MHz, 64 megs PC100 RAM, S3 Trio3D, Crystal PnP audio, 6.4 GB ATA66 HD; now uses P3 450 MHz, 384 MB PC100, ATI Rage 128, Creative Labs Ensonique 1371, and a 6.8 GB ATA66 drive) takes something like 10 minutes to emerge sync. (Nuts... Why does it take so darned long?)
I dunno... I like Gentoo, but my box isn't powerful enough for it. Perhaps, at some point in the near future, I'll build a more powerful box (either Athlon XP Mobile or s754 A64 based) and install Rubyx on it. |
