I KNOW he's in favor of women defending themselves. His wife carries a pistol; I _think_ it's a .380ACP but may not be (I have a memory like a sieve.) The 'ambush' may have been misinterpreted by him.
' And yes, women who kill while being attacked are charged with murder and not given credit for the "complex psychological issues" that you note.'
This can only be the work of jack-arse DA's and lousy cops; unless, that is, the definition of 'attacked' is under question. The definition of 'sexual assault' can also be under question; when I was in college I was asked to take a survey - one of the questions on said survey was 'have you ever had sex with a woman who later regretted it yet?'
Well, duh! Every girl I've every broken up with. Yet that survey, had I agreed to take it, would have deemed me as an assailant.
No, it isn't that easy. The hard point isn't picking up the phone, it's 'once the woman gets the male-dominance crap out of her head.' although that statement is gross oversimplification.
As anyone who has been addicted to a substance can tell you, it's the mental addiction that is far harder to overcome than the physical addiction. |
