and the guy has died and come back. been split in two (red superman and blue superman) had his powers changed (never quite got how that happened) If you ever get a chance read True Brit (John Cleese helps write Superman FUNNIEST EVER. and you should also read Red Son. Another alternate Superman one off comic.
