Replying late, but had to jump in.
Their system is nicely configured to start (small, has the essentials) and very easy to expand from there. Autodetection worked like a dream on both my laptop and my desktop, and apt-get + synaptic led me to everything else I wanted.
I had to futz with Firefox 1.0 to get it to work, but only a little bit, and I could've stayed with Firefox 0.9.3 (the default that comes with it) if I were patient. ;-)
All in all, I HIGHLY recommend it as an easy (but not Redhat-level simplified) Linux starter. You start with a system that works and updates itself, and build from there. Good stuff, and a VERY impressive first release. :-D |
