wasn't anything huge. They weren't out to make anyone rich. And I'm told there were people who collected. I'm guessing it was mainly a PR stunt, and what they paid out for it were calculated and acceptable losses compared to the potential (also calculated, I'm sure) for the amount of business it would bring.
