Good film adaptations of books by voxwoman2004-12-30 11:23:41

<IMHO>
And I agre with McNutcase, "Das Boot".

"LoTR", I don't know the first one was pretty good, the others lacking and, while nice movies, not too faithful to the books...

"The Ninth Gate", while leaving out half of the story of the original book (The Club Dumas), managed to make a good movie out of the other half.

"Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas", though the movie is more of a trippy experience than the book is, both movie and book are really good.
</IMHO>
