Of course, any Star Wars fan knows the meaning of the name, my favorite planet.) Since then, I've used it at every forum where my real name (Paul) is already taken (unlike most people, I prefer to just use my real name wherever I can) simply because Hoth tends to be available usually. In the very rare cases where Hoth is taken I've used Gavagai, which is a word invented by W.V.O. Quine to be an example of something that cannot be precisely defined -- which gives me a fun time exlpaining that it's impossible to say when someone asks me what it means. |
