pipelining is different. the exact text above the link below the post pasted above Note that firefox won't do more than 8 pipelining requests, and the seperate 'max persistent connections per server' setting is recommended to be set to 2 per html 1.1 specs but yes, hammering a server with 2345271254 requests at once would be very bad, indeed
