Was looking for a nick to use on irc way too many years ago and tried all sorts of different things. Saw a guy with the nick Lunatic and like the Luna = moon thing so my nick became Luna. Then another 'Luna' surfaced on irc, slight nickfight followed but I won >:) and kept the nick for a few more years. Enter a guy I got a crush on :"> his nick was Sir<one-thing-or-another> and I wasn't going to be a lesser person. Hey presto, Lady-Luna appears. It's worked for me for cough a lot of years and is usually available wherever I sign up, except on LJ where I modified it and am princess_luna. That fits just as well since I have to admit to being 'slightly' spoiled and pampered by DH.
