When I started into the second year of a college course I was taking called Information Systems (which sucked, and I got out of, but that's beside the point), I was given my own email account at the college. I promptly learned about listservers, and joined the ADND-L listserv, where a lot of people were posting under persona.
Deciding I wanted to have a persona as well, I scoured through my list of old PCs and NPCs from AD&D, and came across a certain White-Robed Wizard of High Sorcery (Dragonlance) named Cural Antalas. I used him as my persona on the list, and later when I joined Geocities to get a website, I created my account with that name, which then became the host to my dominant email account as well.
Now, I use that nick for anywhere on the internet. :) I actually posted Cural's entire character sheet on my website, back before I let the site expire. Going to recreate the site sometime and then put it up again, whenever I find the time. I've got the whole thing backed up on my HD.
