Most likely RAM. Can you swap it out? If you have more than one RAM card, try one than the other. Better yet, try a comprehensive memory test. This is liable to take some time, like a couple of hours. I'm tired and can't think of the name of the program I used to use; it was proprietary and expensive anyway. Someone ought to be able to give you a linux version that's free. If that doesn't show the errors, you'll need to do a surface scan using Scandisk. That's liable to take a day or two.
