I had worse: I liked 'a', 'b' liked me, 'a' was best friends with 'b', so 'a' knew that 'b' liked me. When I started going out with 'a', it caused all sorts of problems for all of us.
Anyway...
So, you want to know what? You want to 'discover' that 'y' likes you without 'z' getting in trouble, and you want to be able to let her down gently??
*** Don't throw away a good thing for a potentially better thing. ***
Very important. Trust me.
Unless 'x' and 'y' are joined at the hip, you can remain 'blissfully ignorant' (us guys are good at that) of the fact that 'y' likes you, and discreetly pursue 'x'. (Make sure you don't snub 'y' just to be alone with 'x' during this stage)
If it doesn't work out with 'x', you haven't lost anything, because you're still friends with 'y'. If you go out with 'x', then you can stll be friends with 'y', and she may have to be content with 'they won't be together forever, I'll catch him on the rebound'.
Make sense? I'm suffering from apostrophe overload... |
