or any who know CD-RWs like he does:

I'm having lots of trouble with my drive and / or the CDs I have. I'd like to know what the issue is. I've been using Nero, XCDRoast, and cdrecord for a long time, and have only screwed up a small number of discs, until recently. I lost 5 today so far, and have 3 good discs out of the batch. The files I'm writing are not fragmented, but I'm getting low on the buffer for nearly every burn. Nero's good about filling it up rather than trashing the disc when this happens, but I really would like to burn some things off so I can free up some space on my hard drives...
