If I don't believe what someone says, I tend to ask what makes them believe it is true. I may also state why I believe something else. The rest is up to the reader in the UFieverse. I won't limit myself ahead of time by determining that certain sources of information are 'tainted' or likely to be untrue - I will simply (with the help of comments from other UFies, of course) take all sources with a grain of salt. Some grains larger than others. I don't think rules would be productive here - it is up to each individual UFie to make up hir mind as to what to believe.
