Topic: We have an unwritten rule here that the person who asserts a statement as fact is responsible for backing it up with proof/citations/etc. This is to avoid people here being able to claim any foolishness they wish to, muddling up the actual search for facts that we seem to relish here. If this was to be an 'official', written, rule (no expectation of it becoming one, BTW), what would the wording be? If it was a rule, what are the criteria for the citations to be accepted?
Feel free to argue either side of the issue and anything tangential to it. That's why it's called 'open discussion' :)
