In my opinion, violence and war are the domains of the weak - it takes MUCH more intelligence, wisdom and commitment to settle a situation without killing. In essence, killing is the easy way solve a problem. Push a button, pull a trigger BANG, problem solved. Genocide is simply waging war on those traditionally seen as non-combatants - women and children. There MUST be a better way. Do I know that way? No. Do I believe it can exist? Yes. The question that will be asked is: "would I do wrong - would I kill to protect my children?" In a heartbeat. Because I am not as strong or moral as those that would not. Would it be wrong? Yes.
