things for teen boys by wwill2004-12-21 13:13:00
Ok here you go by celticess 2004-12-21 13:26:51
As you mentioned video games. But also:

MP3 players, Music CD's, electric shavers, shaving/toiletry kits, headphones, skateboards, baseball hats, sports jersies, spyware or science type toys for 9 and up, lava lamps(or other funky lights), desk toys(you know the press your hand in the dull pin thing and it holds it's shape, perpetual motion toys, etc), digital cameras(yes you can actually get some for as cheap as $20 though they don't have very many mega pixels), board games, trivia games, collectable cards(usually MTG is quite the trend and has been for several years), and sporting equipment.

Socking stuffer type things are watches, mens braclets, aftershave, mens bath kits, locker stuff, trendy looking mens rings(pewter usually), and pewter or jute necklaces.

Books are also good. Usually juvienile or young adult fiction. Lemony Snicket and Harry Potter are quite popular.

Basically if you think back to when you were a teen what you might of thought of as neat may well still be. Or consider things you right now think are neat even though your an adult. Often teens like the same things young adults do.

One thing I miss that they used to have was gift certificates for clothing. It was sponsored by cknw's empty stocking fund. They don't do it anymore. But it was $40 per child towards a warm winter coat or other clothing. So if your toybank/hamper local to you supports clothing think of getting a kid a nice winter or spring jacket and gloves. Or runners if that is applicable too.
