There's usually a POE adapter that comes with whatever is going to be POE-driven that you plug your normal Ethernet cabling into - the adapter plugs into the wall and injects DC voltage into the Ethernet signal; the POE-driven device filters this into and out of the DC voltage being delivered to it.
