at least, that's how I understand it.
He *may* believe in what he's doing. But it's a self-righteous, self-absorbed, self-serving sort of belief.
So I don't personally figure that GWB will (would?) make it, unless he has an epiphany before he dies, and truely repents.
For the record, I don't think that politicians neccesarily conform to the scummy stereotype, or that their integrity or worthiness is neccesarily reflected in their alignment with my own political views. The same caveat applies to religous belief and faith.
