Abaron and I were talking about DaNutBall's humorous use of redundant language, not anybody's licensing schemes.
Saying something is the only exclusive is redundant: it's either the only one, in which case it's exclusive, or it's not the only one, in which case it's not exclusive. The use of one word implies the other.
That's why I brought up the other example of "unique." Either something is unique, and therefore nothing else is like it anyway, or it's not unique, and there are other similar things. |
