Christians Against the Republican Party by SnappingTurtle2004-12-21 10:30:00
  Hmmm . . . by mmell 2004-12-21 10:52:03
<cynicism> <sarcasm>

1. The Christian faith has attempted to serve two masters, God and some guy from Nazareth, in direct violation of the First Commandment, "I am the Lord, thy God. Thou shalt have no other god before Me".

2. The Christian faith has engaged in the idolatry of adorning their churches with graven images of that which is (by their declaration) in heaven, claiming that their allegiance to Jesus is the same as allegiance to God.

3. The Christian faith has fostered the violation of either the first or the second of the Commandments by encouraging and propagating the belief that Jesus (a man) is also God.

4. The Christian faith has desecrated the holy land repeatedly, by crusades and missionary efforts in the region.

5. The Christian faith has largely controlled the government of the United States (Don't believe me, look at our currency or in our own history texts) by lobbying the government into endorsing the teaching of Christian dogma in the schools and in our courts.

6. Finally, the Christian faith has engaged in all of these activities while claiming to be the true representatives of Christ, a.k.a., "God", and has so alienated the majority of non-christians that is is becoming more and more difficult to find and enlist people into their specific view of sprirituality.
