DOS Memory Editor in XP? by fiordhraoi 2004-12-21 09:56:29
Okay, I've dug out some of my old games and been playing them recently. In one of them, there's a timed sequence about halfway through where you need to navigate a maze. Every fifteen seconds or so, you take a set amount of HP damage. Unfortunately, because I'm on a much faster processor than was ever intended for the game. I've tried MoSlow and similar utilities, but unfortunately that makes the controls jerky and the maze almost impossible to navigate.

So I hit on the idea of grabbing a memory editor and freezing my HP value so I have as much time as I need to get through. Unfortunately, even with a memory editor/trainer that has an option to work in "DOS" memory range (GameWiz32), I still can't seem to find memory locations in DOS games running under Windows XP. I have tested it on windows-based games, and the utility works fine. Any suggestions? I love this game, but I'm stuck on this point and it's driving me nuts.
