I'm wondering about that study by celticess 2004-12-21 09:48:41
So far it's the only one to list that effect from naproxen. Also the people they are using it on are older and more frail in the first place. So if they have alzeheimers anyways and this is to slow progression... they already have other factors other people taking the drug may not.

While I've taken the drug for months at a time with no break and been off and on it for at least 13 yrs.(I was also given it off and on during my teens) I've never had a bad side effect from it. On the other hand with tylenol I can't be sure that it didn't cause me the liver damage which now see's me on liver disease precautions.

But like you I have high pain tolerance. I've learned over time how to work with my illnesses that affect mobility the, best I can. As well I'm very limited in range of meds I can take. Part of that too is pharmacare wont cover them all. So I might ask to see a specialist and see if they have any ideas and they can perscribe something that with special letter the government will let me have.(I was going to see if there was some way I could get celebrex out of them but by comments in that article and one it linked to maybe I shouldn't try that either)

I was on relfan if you can get that it's a good one. However it stopped working in me after about 6 months. So I ended up dropping it as it's effect never came back. I think it's relatively safe though usually only specialists perscribe it. The naproxen I'm on is a perscribed one. I wasn't aware there was even an over the counter version.
