They might have to take responsibility, if the realized it was theirs, all along. The police only exist, AFAIAC, so people can avoid blame by having someone else--whose "job" it is--shoot the SOB who broke into their house and raped their wife, and wouldn't "come along quietly" when it was time to "face the music". I'm afraid I have a lot more faith in my next-door neighbors, than I will ever have, in the "system". -- HadEnuf?
